Swifty McQueen is Taylor Castañeda (formerly Mochulsky). a 40 something Mexican American mother surviving in Southern California with 3 rescued cats, a cool ex-husband and her three (sometimes) darling children. she is the co-founder of Good Sport, Executive Director of The Desert Locals nonprofit, and a freelance consultant.

 

a self taught artist, Taylor has dropped out of some of the finest institutions California has to offer. she has been drawing since she was a child, crocheting since the nuns taught her in grade school, and experimenting with several art mediums over the decades. once a notable expert in the dating blog space she appeared on CNBC. her first b0ok was published in 2013; a collection of stories about her 700 1st dates before 30.

 

a native daughter of Los Angeles, Taylor has lived in NYC, and Illinois. her love of the macabre and dark humor is present throughout her work as well as her Mexican Catholic upbringing and rejection of the church. she currently produces one of kind art available to purchase and accepts small and large scale commisions. her first mural is at Rancho Mirage Elementary school, completed in 2021.

 

in 2018 she founded the Champaign Urbana Drag Queen Story hour. a program that continues to this day. Taylor was also among the inagural artist who's work was chosen for the 2022 Artists for Planned Parenthood series. in 2023 she successfully raised over $65k in 4 weeks for a cancer nonprofit.

she has experience coordinating events for DreamWorks, Disney, NYFW, Tales of the Cocktail, and several chairty events and weddings.

 

additionally, Taylor is a dual state (CA/IL) licensed cosmetologist, expert in song lyrics, and a strong swimmer.
